Elite Cyclery Bike Tours and Rentals offers introductory answers to frequently asked questions about places, trails, and services of our tours. For bookings we need at least 48 hours to prepare your tour, please make your reservation on time.
What is included on the tour price?
Our tour includes: Bicycle, Helmet, pump, patch kit, tools and extra tube, tour guides an assistance, entrance to cenotes, Mayan ruins, lagoons, kayaks, ziplines equipment and everything you like to do and comes with the plan you hire.
What do I have to take?
We strongly recommend you to bring your helmet, cycling gloves and your hydro bag (in case you want to mountain bike), remember that the heat and the humidity around are very tough in this area and more inside the Jungle. It's always more comfortable to ride with your own stuff, but if it's hard for you we can offer you a helmet.
Does the tour provide pedals and shoes?
Road and MTB Bicycles are available with flat pedals. Cycling shoes and clip pedals are not available for rent due to the different variety models, brands and sizes, but for best results, bring your own pedals and shoes if you are interested in riding clipless.
Can I specify the size of the bicycle I want?
We will do our best to give you the best fit on a bicycle that meets your needs, we have mountain bikes from size 13 to 21 and road bikes from 44 to 58, However, we have a lot of rentals, so we depend on availability.
Do you have established trails for the tours?
Of course, we're taking you to the places we love to ride with the local MTB club. Ek-Balam, Solferino, San Angel, Punta Laguna, Banco de Cenotes, Coba, Uxixibi, The Cenotes Route, Agua Azul, El Naranjal, Los Aluxes, Xel-ha, Nuevo-Xcan, Punta Venado are some of our preferred trails.
I'm an advance rider, I have a lot of experience, are there trails for me?
The Jungle is a challenge for every kind of riders, you just ask for the trail level you want to ride, and we will have the perfect trail for you.
Will the tour guides will be with us every moment?
Two guides will ride with you, we know very well all the trails. We love to ride and show people the incredible place we live in..
I am not an expert MTB rider, are there places for me?
We have the specific trail for your level, it doesn't matter your a beginner or an expert, you'll have a great experience
Does the tour includes meal and water?
The tour doesn't include food, but if you want to after the ride we an ctake you to the best local restaurants around. The tour includes a gatorade, a refreshment and cold bottled water don't worry about liquids.
Can I reserve my bicycle over the internet?
You can e-mail us, but it is necessary to call us with your requirements when your here in Cancun, so we can agree the meeting point.
Why riding in the jungle is so exiting?
We love to get in the jungle with our bikes, get to cenotes and have a swim, visiting little Mayan villages, some times we ride around Mayan ruins or we have the luck to see jungle animals, that's why we look every weekend for different routes in the Yucatan peninsula, because we love to be amazed by this land.
